Brigadeiro Cake
Brazilian chocolate balls
Cake
- 2.5 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cups oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- baking powder, salt
- 1.5 cups milk
Filling & Frosting
- 2x400ml cans of sweet condensed milk
- 7.7 oz cream "drained"
- 1 cup milk
- 2 table spoons cornstarch
- 1.5 cups chocolade powder (Kaba)
- 1 tbsp margarine
Zubereitung
- Start with the frosting:
- whisk: milk, chocolate powder, corn starch
- add cream, condensed milk, margarine; stir
- cook over medium heat until mixture reaches thick, pudding-like consistency (12-15 minutes)
- pour in a bowl, wrap to contact and let cool for 2h
- fridge for another 2h
- now the cake
- 180 °C
- 3 round cake pans, greased
- whisk: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt
- cream: oil, butter, sugar
- add eggs
- add milk and dry ingredients slowly
- bake in three pans for 30-35 mins to light crumble
- let cool
- final assembly
- layer and cover sides
- add chocolate sprinkles everywhere
