- Rainbow's End by Vernor Vinge: the ending is almost as expected and quite satisfying. This vision of the future is one where everything works, and that irks me because in this real world that we live in, nothing works. As I wrote before and will write again, we were promised superpowers, but we got printer subscriptions.
